We are currently proposing a new business model, which will be the first attempt of us here to do business global : which mean the target audience is all over the world.

The business model is still under heavy construction and will be implemented soon by this year ending.

Some of the preparation for the business system is the “Internal Design Flow” which I specifically customized to smoothen the design process.

Below is one of the IDF part that explains the file management system. The table also include the development stage after we receive an order from the client until the end product. (of course I can’t reveal the detail)

The flow or the standard guideline is rendered for the designers to ensure that they know the exact time allocate for the whole process plus the standard files managing system. For me a good filing system (of raw and etc) will cut a lot of development time for example to avoid wasting time to search raw files.

Here are the basic rules.

1. The log file is the key component of the whole projects which hold all the information regarding the order.

2. The red folder or the template set folder is the master folder which needed to be replicate in order to deploy the design. And the end of the days, the files inside actually has been altered to the order. This will be the master – raw files.

3. The purple folder will only have the end product (that already being approved by the boss). Client will only receive this folder.

4. The account manager will have his own folder contains the doc files, contract, invoice, quotation and delivery order.

So what is the best part having this IDF anyway? One of it is, when ever my designer resign, I can simply deploy the master template of the process to the new fresh designer in a single click.
